(DENVER, CO) — The Victor Marx for Governor campaign today announced the submission of more than 28,500 Republican petition signatures to the Colorado Secretary of State's office.
This achievement marks a defining moment in the 2026 Republican primary and signals the extraordinary depth of grassroots support behind Marx's bid to become Colorado's next governor.

The Marx campaign's decision to pursue a hybrid strategy simultaneously gathering petition signatures and going through the Colorado State Republican Assembly was not accidental. It was a deliberate act of respect for the Republican process and for every Colorado Republican voter, from the Eastern Plains to the Western Slope.
Most campaigns choose one path. Victor Marx chose both because he believes every Republican deserves a voice in who leads their party and their state.
"I didn't want to take a shortcut," said Marx. "The Republican assembly is sacred ground — it's where the grassroots of this party speak. And the petition process reaches Republicans in every county, every small town, every corner of Colorado. To skip either one would mean leaving Coloradans behind, and I'm not in the business of leaving people behind."
Hundreds of volunteers fanned out across all 64 counties knocking on doors, setting up tables outside of grocery stores, church parking lots and community centers. No professional signature-gathering firm. No paid canvassers. Just Coloradans, on their own time, working for their state.
From Weld County to Montezuma County, from Yuma to Pueblo, from the San Luis Valley to the suburbs of Douglas County this effort reached every corner of Colorado.

“This is Colorado’s voice, loud and clear,” said Victor Marx, Republican candidate for governor. “28,541 Colorado Republicans didn’t just sign their names to a petition — they stood up for their families, communities, and our state. They joined a movement to bring back common sense, accountability, and the kind of leadership that puts Colorado first.”
